The principals and officers of the Sonoma Consulting Group (SCG) have well over 200 years in executive, consulting and training positions (including CEO, CFO, CIO, CTO). Although newly formed as a company specifically to address/reduce supply-side costs, we have known and worked with each other in various professional capacities, with some for over twenty years. Four MBAs, 3 CPAs, 2 PhDs, an MD, a world- renowned researcher and an award-winning author, among others, provide breadth and depth to our bottom-line strategic, analytical and functional competencies.

Ed Morler, MBA, PhD – Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Morler is C.E.O. of Morler International (MI), an international training firm specializing in integrity-based negotiations and leadership development. See www.Morler.com. Dr. Morler is the author of the multiple award winning, The Leadership Integrity Challenge: How to Assess and Facilitate Emotional Maturity and Finally Growing Up: Living an Authentic Empowered Life. Soon to be released are The New Debtor’s Prison: What We Need to Do, co-authored with banker Bob Booth and Developing Emotionally Mature Organizations: A Leader’s Guide, co-authored with management consultant Kathy Eckles.  Following will be Negotiating with Integrity: Needed More Than Ever. 

Prior to founding Morler International, Inc. in 1978, Dr. Morler was a management consultant for Fry Consultants, Inc., Director of Administration for the Airline Pilots Association, Special Consultant to the Department of Labor, E.V.P. of Sidney A. Fine Associates, and Senior Trainer for Effective Communication Skills, Inc. He served as a U.S. Naval Officer for four years in the Far East, Mediterranean, and Caribbean. 

Dr. Morler received his B.S. from Illinois Institute of Technology, his M.B.A. from the University of Chicago, his Ph.D. from the University of Maryland, and is a graduate of The University of San Diego's Executive Management Program. Certified in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Hypnotherapy and Thought Field Therapy (TFT), he also has numerous biographical listings including Who’s Who in California and The International Who’s Who of Intellectuals. He is an Eagle Scout and resides with his wife, De, in Sonoma, Ca.

Chris Stanton—Chief Operating Officer

Chris Stanton is the CEO of KSG Transform, www.ksgtransform.com , a business consultancy that designs and delivers strategic and financial solutions to organizations ready for positive change. 

Chris is a recognized business leader and has a long history of building accountable and financially successful organizations.  He was founder and CEO of one of S.F. Bay Area's top construction companies--Paragon Builders, president of Steve Snyder Productions, CEO of the Kelley-Stanton Group; and currently runs KSG Transform and Innovative Construction Management. He alternates with Ed Morler as host of the radio talk show What We Need to Know, www.contacttalkradio.com/hosts/chrisstanton.html.

Chris's clients come primarily from the construction and financial services sectors.  He is the developer of "Managing By Key Accountabilities™" - a management system, "Top Talent Advantage™" - a talent acquisition and development system, "TransformOS™" - a human operating system for organizations, and many other effective systems and tools.

Chris earned a Masters in Consciousness Studies from John F. Kennedy University.  He speaks nationally about leadership, developing talent, succession and turning obstacles into opportunities.  He holds the following certifications in diagnostic assessments:  CPBA, CPVA, CAIA and is a certified Values Technologies™ provider. He and his wife Lori reside in Point Reyes Station, California.  

Robert Booth – Chief Financial Officer

Bob Booth is an experienced banker, having served as Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Lending Officer, and Chief Credit Officer of several leading financial institutions including Bank of America, First Tennessee Bank and Regions Bank. He is Managing Director of Executive Leadership International (ELI), www.elimemphis.com.

Bob is former President of the Memphis Chapter of Financial Executives International and an active member of the Consumer Bankers Association and the Harvard Club of New York.  He is co-author, with Dr. Ed Morler, of the soon to be released The New Debtors Prison: What We Need to Do.

 

Active in civic affairs, Bob has served as Chairman of: the Memphis Regional Chamber of Commerce; The Economic Club of Memphis; The Brooks Museum of Art; The Memphis Symphony Orchestra; and the Salvation Army’s Memphis Board. 

 

A graduate of Rhodes College, The Stonier Graduate School of Banking at Rutgers University, and Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program, he is father of two sons and a daughter. Bob and his wife Melissa reside in Memphis, Tennessee.
